New Patient
At Complete Therapy USA, we have the privilege and opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients.
From a senior citizen who had knee replacement surgery to an adult who suffers from arthritis or an individual who was injured on the job and/or a college or high school athlete who is recovering from a sports-related injury. If you are in need of physical therapy for the first time, here is a quick and generalized preview of "what to expect."
The Complete Therapy USA team is here to help you improve movement and function, relieve pain, and expand your movement potential. Through evaluation and individualized treatment programs, licensed physical and occupational therapists can both treat existing problems and provide preventive health care for people with a variety of needs. Our office staff is friendly and ready to assist you with any of your insurance or administrative questions.
New patients are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for their first appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork in our patient waiting area. Next, the new patient meets with the therapist who evaluates the patients injury or condition, discusses his or her goals and specific needs, and devises an individualized treatment plan.
Treatment may include mobilizing stiff joints and tissue, exercise, stretching, using up to date, modalities and education. It is very important to attend all appointments to ensure a safe level of return-to-work or activities of daily living.
You should notice changes in how your body is functioning or feeling during or after therapy. It is always good to give feedback to your therapist regarding any changes in your symptoms, so they can modify your treatments appropriately, if needed.
Since Complete Therapy USA utilizes a progressive plan of care, patients are forwarded to new levels, treatments and exercises. Patients are also provided with home programs, which are an important part of a patient's total rehabilitation plan and help ensure a more successful and positive outcome. Complete Therapy USA therapists also maintain regular contact with a patient's doctor, surgeon and/or case manager to ensure timely updates on the patient's progress and a team approach to care.
